The Portuguese Dressage Cup Final took place from November 29th to December 1st, at the Academia de Dressage Portugal, in Arruda dos Vinhos.
This competition was completely dominated again by Lusitano horses who won all levels of this championship.
In the Big Tour competition for young horses, the winner was Lancelot do Monte with the rider João Embaixador (Campeador x Quimera) from the Quinta do Monte Possolos Stud, a combination that is part of the APSL Project for young horses in Dressage. This project also includes Inês Mano Pires and Ouro (Rubi x Axala) from the Leonardo Franco Stud farm that also competed in this final of the Portuguese Cup.
In the Preliminary competition, the winner was the Lusitano Quiebro das Arcas (Jasmim Plus x Invicta das Arcas), from the Manuel Maia Correia Stud, ridden by the rider Mafalda Galiza Mendes.
In the Elementary competition, the winner was the mare Pandora (Indio x Ursula), bred by Stud Farm Leonardo Franco, ridden by the rider Mafalda Galiza Mendes. In 2nd place was Picasso da Lagoalva (Riopele x Infanta da Lagoalva) from the breeder Soc.Agric. from Qta. da Lagoalva, and closing the podium was Panema-I (Rubi x Ferouze), bred by Lea Forge and ridden by Bruno Moreira.
In the Medium competition, the winner was Optimus (Don Juan x Fina), bred by Herdade das Silveiras, ridden by Mafalda Galiza Mendes and in 2nd place was Ortodoxo do Zambujal (Violino x Etiopia do Zambujal), bred by Coudelaria Mário Vinhas and ridden by José Arezes.
In the Advanced competition, victory was won by Nursula (Zaire x Ursula), from the Leonardo Franco Stud farm ridden by the rider Mafalda Galiza Mendes. 2nd place on the podium went to Nuclear (Guloso II x Explosiva) bred by Casa do Cadaval and ridden by the rider Vasco Ribeiro. 3rd place went to Netuno do MT (Fado x Incrivel do MT), bred by José Filipe Guerreiro dos Santos and ridden by André Costa.
In the Small Tour competition, the highest place on the podium was taken by Nilo das Arcas (Ulisses x Bandarilha) from the Manuel Maia Correia Stud, ridden by Mafalda Galiza Mendes. 2nd place went to Moscatel (Riopele x Saga), bred by Coudelaria Duarte e Bernardo and ridden by Martha Del Valle Soares De Albergaria and 3rd place went to Manzanares (Impar x Dalia), bred by Eng. Manuel Calheiros Braga and ridden by Tiago Albergaria.
