On the 28th and 29th of January, new horses were admitted to the project “CAVALOS LUSITANOS NOVOS NO ENSINO” in Golegã.
A further 7 young Lusitano horses were admitted to this project.
This admission was based on a morphological assessment judged by judges of the Breed with the animals presented by hand (10%), in a Dressage test adapted to the age of the Horse judged by official FEP judges (25%), and a Presentation test to the International Dressage Judge (30%) and finally an evaluation by coaches Daniel Pinto and Miguel Ralão (35%).
It should be remembered that this project aims to find Lusitano horses between 4 and 7 years of age, and seeks to contribute to the international training of horses and riders, as well as to create an additional mechanism for the functional selection of Lusitano horses with sporting potential.
It also seeks to provide breeders with a functional test of their products in a global scheme, properly organized and controlled by the National Federation and APSL, as well as correctly developing the potential that these horses may have for Dressage.
This project also seeks to provide riders with competitive ambitions to improve their riding quality by developing their sporting potential, as well as supporting their technical training and progressively preparing a group of horses/riders that may come to be part of representations. international competitions in S.George and Grand Prix level events.
The entire project will be coached by riders Daniel Pinto and Miguel Ralão Duarte and will be accompanied by Kyra Kirklund.
Following the work carried out during the project, if it is considered by those responsible that there are horses with quality to participate in theYoung Horses World Championship, this will be proposed to the owners, with support being available for this participation by the entities that manage the Project.
