APSL has been developing efforts to ensure the realization of the International Lusitano Horse Festival in 2021.
Certain of the importance of this event and the remaining competitions for the breeders, owners and for all those who are involved, even as the public, several contacts were established and some possibilities were analyzed.
Therefore, the Board of Directors of APSL decided to keep the Lusitano Horse Festival in Cascais, whose support of the City Council has over the years become essential by providing a set of conditions and a collaboration with which we are very pleased and where the recognition of the cultural patrimony that is the Lusitano Horse is quite evident.
Given the current situation, both with regard to the Covid 19 pandemic, as well as derived from the Herpes Virus, the date found for the realization of this event - hopefully with fewer restrictions than would be the usual date, is September 17-19, at the Manuel Possolo Hippodrome.
The event has now had to adapt to the volatile conditions of these times and, therefore, the Program includes the Model and Gait Contest, some shows all with on-line transmission and Conferences with the presence of international speakers, also transmitted in the same way. The presence of the public will depend on the rules in force for the date defined, but we will do everything possible to minimize this impact.
We count on everyone's understanding for the choice of the date, which did not depend only on APSL, but on a series of conditions (in June it would still be impossible to hold the event) and we also count on your participation.
