
The prestigious European Lusitano Horse Championship has ended. This great event, held in the imposing facilities of the Royal Stables of Córdoba, brought together excellent examples of the breed.
Spectators were present not only from Spain but also from abroad.
The big star of the model and gaits competition was the mare “Queen Plus”, from Dressage Plus Stud, who was crowned CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS, adding this title to the titles of Female Champion presented by hand and Female Champion.
Dressage Plus Stud also won the title of Best Breeder.
In the male category, “ROMEO PLUS”, also from the Dressage Plus stud, won the title of Hand Presented Male Champion.
In the Ridden males class, the trophy went to “LUFT”, bred by Coudelaria Quinta da Carvoeira and presented by the rider Ricardo Batista.
In the Dressage tests, in the competition for young 4-year-old horses, Gold Medal for “QUELUZ DAS FIGUEIRAS” ridden by the rider Claudio Castilla Ruiz, Silver Medal for “QUIRON DEL CARPIO” ridden by Andrés Herrera. There was a double victory of the bronze medal, ex-equo for “QUILOMBO D ARCOS” ridden by Javier Bonmatí and “QUIRINO” ridden by Maite Martínez.
In the 5-year-old young horse competition, Champion and gold medal for “PASTOR DAS FIGUEIRAS” ridden by Claudio Castilla, Silver medal for “PANDORA DEL CARPIO” ridden by Andrés Herrera and bronze medal for “PITÁGORAS D’ARCOS” ridden by Javier Bonmatí
In the young 6-year-old horses, the champion and gold medalist was “OBOE”
ridden by Claudio Castilla, silver medal for “ODIN COMANDO SN (BRZ)” also ridden by Claudio Castilla Ruiz and bronze medalfor “OTAN D’ARCOS” ridden by Javier Bonmatí.
In the 7-year-old young horse competition, the Champion and gold medal was “NOTREDAM” with the rider Adín Rodríguez. The silver medal went to “NUMA DEL CARPIO” ridden by José Antonio García Mena, and the Bronze medal went to “NERON” with Manuel García González.
In Intermediate Test I, the horse “Laos Casa Cadaval”, ridden by Cláudio
Castilla, was proclaimed European Champion of this competition. The silver medal went to “Merlot do Vouga”, ridden by José Antonio García Mena. And the horse “Mistral”, ridden by its owner, Joshua Vega, won the bronze medal.
The Grand Prix Special had more than 11 horses competing.
“Hermes”, ridden by José António García Mena, won the title of European Champion. The Silver Medal went to “Lirio del LYW” ridden by Adín Rodríguez and the Bronze Medal went to “Imperador Ornellas” with Belén Bautista.
The Dressage test jury was the International Judges: Elke Ebert (Germany, FEI 5*), Miguel Gonçalves (Portugal, FEI 3*) and Mariano Santos (Spain, FEI 4*).
